Reformer Mat - pilates reformer mat
Technical specifications
The Pilates reformer mat
Reformer Mat is a thin but very high-performance mat. Easy to transport, you can roll it up or fold it to put it in your bag (we recommend that you always store it rolled up and only fold it for transport to avoid creases).
The technical characteristics of this mat make it non-slip and perfect for practising Pilates on the reformer, because the recycled polyester microfibre on the upper side absorbs sweat and dries quickly (guaranteeing grip) while the underside adheres to the cushion of the reformer trolley thanks to the grip of the natural rubber, guaranteeing full stability during exercises.
You can clean it with a damp cloth and mild detergent after practice, and for deep cleaning, you can put it in the washing machine (see care and maintenance instructions).
The microfibre of this mat was selected for its technical characteristics and sustainability. The fabric is recycled, 100% PVC and Phthalate free (Reach and Rohs certified).
When it is time to recycle your mat, separate the two layers! The coloured fabric will go into plastic, while the natural rubber can be recycled by following the instructions of your local recycling centre.
Advice on the correct use
Dry microfibre may feel slippery at the beginning of the lesson. If your hands and feet are very dry, you can spray a little water on the surface to immediately obtain the necessary grip.
We also recommend that you do not wear socks or shoes and that you wash your hands and feet well before practising, so as to remove residues of creams and oils that could stain the mat.
Care and Maintenance
Caring for this mat is easy! Follow our tips to ensure it lasts longer:
-
before its first use, wipe the entire surface with a damp cloth
-
before storing and rolling it up, make sure it is always completely dry
-
fold it only for transport time and roll it up when not in use
-
if possible, store it in a bag to protect it from dust
-
to preserve the natural rubber, do not expose it to the sun or near heat sources
-
clean it after practice with a damp cloth and mild detergent
-
for deep cleaning, you can machine wash it with cold water, gentle cycle and no spin cycle
-
never put it in the dryer
