Handcrafted & sustainable product
This product is handcrafted in Italy by Apelviken, an association committed to cleaning the beaches of the Marche region, particularly those in the province of Ancona.
Quantities are limited but in restocking. The selection of the raw materials from which it is made is done by respecting the principle of the least possible environmental impact, which leads us to choose between 100% natural and recycled ones, in this case recovered from old buoys.
We love nature and want to respect it always!
Ocean Lover BRACELET
How to choose the correct size
Using a cloth ribbon or paper cut-out, take the exact size of your wrist, at its narrowest part.
Check the table above/below and choose the corresponding size, considering that then the size of the bracelet will be calculated to be able to wear it without creating stress on your wrist.
Bracelets has a very strong tie.
Technical characteristics
The wood and archeoplastic bracelets are the tool through which we can financially support the Apelviken association and are a beautiful symbol for us to wear proudly to communicate the sustainable choices that set us apart (to learn more about this project we created an article that you can read here).
This is why we have designed three specially named bracelets, characterised by the bead made from the recovery of old fishing buoys in the centre of the composition: Palombina, Mezzavalle and Sirolo.
Each coral-coloured bead is created through the recovery of buoys after storm surges that are taken, brought to Apelviken's workshop and milled to create these special pieces.
From beach clean-ups, the association recovers common trash and archeoplastics, i.e., old containers of creams, soaps, detergents that have unfortunately accumulated in our seas over the years (some date as far back as the 1960s).
Each bracelet consists of the coral-coloured bead plus other wooden beads handcrafted in Italy and a stainless steel tag.
You can wear all three bracelets together or individually, what matters is the message encased in the coral-coloured bead.
Choose them for yourself or to give special gifts to the people you love!
